Nick started learning Mandarin in college and a semester abroad in Shanghai. After graduating in 2007, he promptly moved to Chinawhere the real learning happened. While in China, Nick translated at the Beijing Olympics and even starred on a TV show as a Mandarin Teacher.
In 2013 Nick started teaching Mandarin at Riot Games and since 2015 at New Roads School focusing on highly personalized human interaction, with technology playing an important supporting role. He also has worked as a Mandarin Dialect Coach in TV including Madame Secretary, Castle, The Last Ship, Pure Genius, and in film including November Criminals,Arrivaland others.
In 2018 Nick teamed up with HelloChinese, a language learning app, as a Content Creator and filmed videos explaining grammar concepts for learners.
Nick Anderson is based in Los Angeles, dedicated to teaching Mandarin Chinese. He also likes swimming in the ocean, riding bikes and eating dumplings.
